My name is A Chu, a local guide in Sapa, Vietnam, belonging to the H'mong ethnic minority living in the beautiful northern highlands of Sapa, Vietnam. I am very proud to share my vibrant culture, unique ecosystem, and stunning landscapes to preserve them for future generations. From the forests, the highest mountains in Vietnam, and the iconic terraced fields, my tours explore the quieter and simpler side of Sapa. The traditions of the ethnic minorities are rich and diverse throughout the valley, including farming, trekking techniques, solid mountaineering experience, the colorful clothing, and unique weaving traditions of the mountain peoples. I am proud to share many different nature and cultural trips and homestays. The valley is famous for long hikes and climbing. Nearby are other famous attractions such as Fansipan peak, Love Waterfall, Heaven's Gate, and traditional craft villages.
When I was a child, I followed my brother to sell brocade on the street and self-taught myself English, learning about the English language from tourists from different countries. I had the opportunity to learn English by communicating with foreigners. Without these opportunities to learn English, I would not have become an English-speaking tour guide as I am today because at that time there were no English teachers in the mountain schools. I just used my own local knowledge and understanding of the treks to create personalized long hikes, climbs, and motorbike rides for those who want to explore the most beautiful areas of Sapa. Since I was born and raised in this mountainous area of Sapa, this will help me introduce you to places that only I personally know.
I will provide you with homestay accommodations with families, which is a great way to learn about the locals and their daily lives.
